From the Road

Wireless internet – we’ll see how this works.

There’s something very gratifying about rebuilding/restoring an older Jeep to do what it was meant to do: take you into the remote backcountry and get you out again.

She got us there, with a hiccup, tackled some of the most challenging mountain passes that Colorado offers, camped out up at Mirror Lake above the old mining town of Tin Cup, and barring any unexpected setbacks, should have us home again in a few hours.

She’s done everything expected of her but right now the comforts of the Yukon sure would be nice.

Oh, one other thing: nothing against you Sooners out there but you won’t be seeing me again anytime soon (heh). Good grief! I suppose a body could get used to Oklahoma but why when there is so much more out there.
