Elinor Ostrom, along with Oliver Williamson, was awarded the Nobel Prize for Economics becoming the first woman to bag the award. According to the BBC’s report, she won for her “analysis of economic governance.”
“Over the last three decades, these seminal contributions have advanced economic governance research from the fringe to the forefront of scientific attention,” the academy said.
BHO, on the other hand, apparently won his Nobel not for what he has accomplished as President but for what the world expects him to accomplish. The committee decided on Obama after he’d been in office less than a month.
