Hull number 1 is up on the wall (click to enlarge) at my favorite local fly fishing shop, Deep South Outfitters located at 4700 Cahaba River Road, Birmingham AL 35243. Rob usually has a couple of Wenonah boats in stock but offered to let me take advantage of a gap in inventory and display my boat. It’s for sale but the real intent is to see if we can generate an order or two.
In other news from the canoe shop (garage), the 1937 Old Town is nearly complete – just waiting for the filler to cure out so I can paint it – and Cheemaun #2 just lacks trim and final varnish before it’s ready to deliver. It’s going to get hand-caned seats which will be a first for me (and possibly not offered again).

Quality like that always looks good as Art!
Of course it looks good on the lake too.
JC, hull #2 which is almost complete will be finished in clear fiberglass and is destined for wall display at a friend’s lake house so I guess we’ll call it functional art or flood insurance 😉
Your canoe looks great. I picked p a 1970 Chestnut Guide that needs a couple of ribs, a little bit of planking, and new canvas. Hope to get it done this summer. The 1914 OT is still awaiting restoration which will probably happen this winter.
