A soldier returned home from combat to find his Frisco home, which was owned free and clear, sold off by his homeowners’ association.

I’m speechless. His HOA foreclosed on his home for unpaid dues. In Texas of all places. Granted the Captain’s wife has some obvious coping issues, letting bills stack up unpaid, but in my mind even her lapses didn’t justify the HOA foreclosing on the house. Slap a lien on it maybe but this confiscation is simply un-American and definitely un-Texan.
