Illegal to be Illegal

by Steve on June 22, 2010

At least in Fremont, Nebraska as of Monday.

Residents of a small city in eastern Nebraska voted Monday to banish illegal immigrants from jobs and rental homes, defying an earlier decision by the city’s leaders and setting off what is all but certain to be a costly and closely watched legal challenge.

I find it disturbing that a small town is compelled to enact a law that will allow them to enforce a federal law, United States Code Title 8, Section 1324(a)(1)(A) which prohibits the harboring of illegal aliens. Fremont will now have to defend that law in court against the ACLU.

The American Civil Liberties Union will be defending the “rights” of illegal aliens, not the rights of Fremont citizens to enforce US law on their own streets. The ACLU is concerned the new law will lead to profiling and discrimination. The solution is simple: everyone applying for housing – white, black, brown, yellow, red, short, tall, dirty, clean – must show proof of citizenship when signing a lease or applying for a mortgage. Good enough? The ACLU can unbunch their panties and we can start reclaiming our country for the American citizens.

We can’t afford to support ourselves yet the liberal left wants to leave the gates wide open and add more mouths at the public trough. Think of it as a large-scale home invasion. What do you do with an intruder that breaks in to steal your hard-earned possessions or harm your children? You fire a warning shot center-mass and then ask them to leave (if they can).
