The critical things in life absolutely require a centered ball (I know, we’re going to have fun with that one aren’t we?). Sure, you might do an acceptable job of it if you’re just a tad off – who will ever know? Depends on the context I suppose.

Attention to detail.  Because life is in the details.

Leave it to an aviator (like me) to think not about your first picture or even your second, but a turn-and-slip indicator centered ball, somewhat akin to your first image but also tied into your second.
