[...] I had a great talk with Steve Ambrose today about the proper way to restore a canoe. We talked for about a hour and he provide a lot of great information. The main article that Steve has put out can be found here, http://www.woodshed.steveambrose.net/18-old-town-guide-restoration/.
Good catch Clover, I should have done more reading. Even so, this will have a huge impact on summer employment for rural kids. My parents would have a tough time without the high school kids they hire every summer.

I just reread the rule. According to the The FLSA it " also provides a complete exemption for youths employed on farms owned by their parents."
Kids working on family farms are exempt.

The story is/was at that time, it was cheaper to bury them then to ship them home.

The planes were deemed surplus and were buried in Aug., 1945 -- potentially along with another eight later in the year. At that time, propeller planes were falling out of fashion in favor of newer jet-engine designs -- Cundall said Spitfires "were 10 a penny." British military officials decided burying them was cheaper and more practical than bringing them home.

I just saw this article. I was livid. I don't have kids, but if I did, they would be working on the farm right along side me, as my ancestors have done. Even our foster children use to do farm chores, and the DHS thought it was "great" for them. It's about time the government leaves us family farms alone.

Sadly, you're right. I have lost many addresses and contacts over the years due to upgrading the OS and losing my emails. But all of the addresses in my old Day Runner are just fine. On one hand I look at the iCloud thing as you get what you paid for, on the other hand, they're asking you to trust them with your contacts and other information to supposedly prevent this from happening, yet let it happen. Yup, it's free. But there's an implied SLA on their part that obviously is lacking.

Thanks for scream testing it for me. ;)

I find it hard to believe that they didn't arrest this guy when they arrest people for assault for grabbing the arms of another person who is hitting them. They should have arrested him and let the system and if necessary a jury sort out whether he is guilty. If they will do it for the case of assault, wouldn't murder rise to the occasion?
