Crossing the Line

by Steve on February 9, 2007

I must watch men kiss one another in an alien romantic way on network TV and yet I am not supposed to laugh when two gear-heads meet by accident in the middle of a Snickers bar. There’s something fundamentally wrong with that on both ends (how many ways can I play that one!) The ad, which aired during the Superbowl, has already been pulled and all the PC apologies have been issued. Politically motivated censorship. It’s just not right. If I have to watch the alternative lifestyle then I demand equal time to laugh at it. Freedom to express and all that.

What consenting adults do within their private space is none of my business but when they choose to bring their behavior out into the public eye they must be prepared to accept the good, the bad, and the ugly.
