Common Sense?

by Steve on May 31, 2010

Tim James, the self proclaimed “common sense” candidate hoping to secure the Republican nomination for Governor of Alabama showed very little common sense this Memorial Day. He showed up 30 minutes late for the ceremony at the Alabama National Cemetery and proceeded to work the back of the crowd while Rear Admiral Clyde Marsh, USN (retired), now the Director of the Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs, delivered his address.

James wasn’t there to honor the fallen, he was there to campaign, to press the flesh. Mr. Common Sense didn’t have the common decency to show up on time and respect the warriors who gave their lives protecting his freedom to run for governor. He showed me all I need to know regarding his character.

He’s just another career politician which is exactly what we don’t need more of.
