The ultimate irony in Washington: if a person elected to represent the people entered office with the attitude of “I don’t care if I get re-elected I’m here to do what is right, tackle the issues to the best of my ability, and rebuild America” he (or she, or shim) would undoubtedly win re-election by a landslide.
