DNC Blooper

Before:

And after conservative bloggers focused their attention on the blunder:

And they want to run the country, bring all the troops home, and solve the world’s problems. Makes you wonder just who would be getting off the plane now doesn’t it?

From Heidi:

Anyway, as the blooper started making the rounds of the internet yesterday, it was discovered that the original photo of the Canadian soldier had been fauxtoshopped to remove his unit badge from the beret. So while it was amusing for a moment to catch the Dems flagrantly reutering their images, Florida Cracker cautions, “Never ascribe to malice what can be explained by incompetence…”

Ah, the truth is that the Dems don’t really know what our troops look like. A Freeper is kind enough to observe: “It’s a simple mistake. So many of those democrats were “stationed” in Canada during Vietnam…” Heh.

Michelle has more on the switch.

And I suppose you voted for Clinton based on his moral values. Now there’s a pretty picture!

Interesting that the Democrats would fix their blunder by replacing the picture with an American flag…that appears to have been burned…

Its always interesting how people like Syntax up there many times never put their email or their url on these comments. Nothing quite like taking potshots from the security of internet anonymity.

How the hell the Dems can argue national security from a position characterized by weakness and a culture of hatred of the military is really beyond me. Unfortunately, it does look like, though, that the “power corrupts” (or “power breeds ineptitude and complacency”) historical truism that has affected the Republicans may put the Dems in power for a bit. Would it weren’t so, but we’ll just have to hang on and see what Nov brings.
