What’s Going on Here?

Another pic that begs for a caption:

It’s the Truman (CVN-75) conducting a rudder check during high-speed turns.  I’m thinking the rudders are working just fine if they’re still attached!  If you listen very carefully you can hear “Wipeout” playing in the background.  Keep in mind a CVN draws over 30′ below the waterline – this is not a Nautique in a skid, she’s pushing serious water.
