My First Motor

by Steve on September 3, 2012

Through the magic of time-elapsed photography I can share the progress of the Buick 215 V8 that is the heart of the old family convertible. I’ve messed with plenty of motors in my time but never have torn one completely down and then rebuilt it.

The shop is done with the body and paint, just waiting on the correct parts to finish the front end rebuild and I got the call last week that all the re-plated chrome is ready to be picked up. The bank account will take some big hits this month but I’ll be several steps closer to driving the classic I came home in as an infant in my terrified mother’s arms.
